Remember: This week is portfollio conference time. Thursday and Friday are half days for students.
LANGUAGE ARTS: Gold packets handed out on Monday, due on Wednesday. Look at your differentiated list and study those words for your quiz on Friday.
READING: Your book report is due on Thursday. Everyone has a novel at his or her ability level. Remember to do your very best and add the required detail to each page on the book report form.
MATH: Reviewing Algebra steps. Remember our rule: IF you understand the topic move ahead and check your answers at the end of each page. You must score 90% or better on each page to use this rule.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Geography review and Junior Scholastics due to portfollio conferences.
SCIENCE: We will finish Chapter Three: The Family of Planets, do a review on Tuesday and a test on Wednesday.

Language Arts: Gold Packets again. Know your own words, place into paragraphs, packet due on Wednesday and a quiz on Friday!
Reading: Work on your independent novel and report. Remember a homework pas is awarded if your book report final score is 90% or better.
Social Studies: Chapter 6 review and test is this week. Projects assigned this week and due February 15.
Science: We will be working on the solar system, specifically planets this week and next. Expect to work on extended response in a group setting as well.
Math: Benchmark testing and Algebra review for the week.
Please continue doing your very best 7th grade work!

Reminder: No school on Friday, January 18 due to an Institute Day and no school on Monday, January 21 due to Martin Luther King's birthday. Enjoy the long weekend.
LA: Continuing with Gold Packets. Expect a quiz on YOUR words, definitions and sentence structure on THURSDAY January 17. Expect homework on Monday and Wednesday.
MATH: Adding/subtracting fractions, estimating fractions & decimals, and problem solving. Each night you will need to come up with 5 of your own problems to present to the class on each topic that is covered in class.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Journaling and Extended responses to math problems.
READING: Group reading with comprehension checks and independent novels. Remember to read 30 minutes every night.
