SCIENCE: * YOUR CREATURE IS DUE THIS FRIDAY! It must be three dimensional and your paper must be completely filled out. We will be using the Writers in the classroom to answer posed questions such as, "What is a scientist?", "What are different sciences studied?" and the like.
MATH: Quiz on sections 1.1 -1.4. Order of Operations and Patterns will be covered on this quiz.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be reviewing for a test on Wednesday over Chapter 1.
LA: gold packet with your differentiated list of words will be due on Wednesday. QUiz to follow on Friday.
READING: We will be listening to the Outsiders and journaling during the week.

Week of September 22 -26, 2008
It was wonderful seeing your parents at the Curriculum Night last week.
LA/READING: On Monday, you will get your gold packet with your differentiated word list. Please note: The Gold Packet must be completed by TUESDAY!!!!! We will be checking it for a grade on TUESDAY!!!! We are also starting our first novel study of the Outsiders. Your first set of vocabulary words are due on Thursday. You will have class tome to work on this assignment.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will finish Explorer presentations on Monday. There will be a Social Studies Chapter 1 test on Tuesday, September 30. We will be reviewing this Thursday and Friday.

Science: We are studying the INTERACTIONS between organisms and their environment. Homework of Terms to Learn on Tuesday night.
Math: We are studying a short unit on powers and exponents. Expect homework from the book on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Social Studies: This week, you will be working on your Explorer poster. You will present your person and re-enact his travels in the FIRST PERSON. Practice your note cards on a nightly basis.

Science: We will be working on energy and organisms, populations and communities. Where do you get your energy? How do you get this energy? Expect homework on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Math: Expressions and integers. Homework every night but Friday.
Social Studies: Bring in a poster for explorer project. This will be your first project! We will be working on it in class. Posters are due by Friday, September 12.
