This is our first full week together. We will continue reviewing rules and class expectations. Planners are needed on a daily basis. Texts will be handed out this week as well.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Geography Books and your place in the community. Come prepared with directions to your local favorite food place and elementary school.
SCIENCE: What is a scientist? What do they do? What do they look like? In class writing assignment. Your visual due on Friday, 9/4/09.
MATH: What do you remember about the four basic operations? A review of math skills will take place this week. Homework will include finding various shapes in the community. This may sound elementary but it's amazing!

We will be using a block schedule for the afternoon which includes Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies. You will be working in the classroom on developing your own country. There will be 11 items you will be working at this time. We will be using the Writers to store the information. There will be research, drawing, writing, reading and creating involved in this project. Be ready to work hard!
MATH: Buckle Down books with homework on a nightly basis.
Science: Big test on Wednesday: No notes or books allowed. We will be reviewing on Monday and Tuesday.
