Week of 3/3/09

REMINDERS: We do not have school on Monday, March 2, 2009.

This is ISAT week. Please be sure to get a good night's rest, have a good breakfast before coming to school, and have two #2 pencils with you.

We will not have homework this week.

Week of February 23-27, 2009

Reminder: ISATS are next week. Come to school prepared with pencil, calculator, a good breakfast and a great night of sleep!

LA: Gold packets with your differentiated words go out on Monday. They are due on Wednesday and a test on Friday. On Tuesday, we will work on a rough draft essay and your final copy will be due on Thursday.

READING: Your review is due on Monday, March 2. In class time will be spent on Illinois Reading Coach. Remember to pre-read, use context clues and any graphics BEFORE reading the selection. Aim for your goal of % correct.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We start Chapter 6 on Monday with homework every night. Be prepared for a short quiz on Friday.

MATH: Continue Buckle Down series in class. Expect homework sheets each night except Friday.

SCIENCE: Solar System worksheets this week. Your final project for Astronomy is due on Friday, 2/27. It must include a 3 - 5 paragraph essay.

Week of February 16-20, 2009

Reminders: No school on Monday, 2/16/09. Enjoy the long weekend!

LA: Gold packets out on Monday, due Wednesday, test on Friday. Rough draft eassays due on Tuesday and final essays due on Thursday.

RD: Review due on March 2, 2009. In class ISAT practices.

MA: Buckle Down series in the classroom. Each night you will have individualized homework problems.

SS: Review for the Constitution test on Thursday.

SC: Finish up the planets with a quiz on Friday. Astronomy project due Feb. 27!!!

LA: Gold review week. Expect 25 words. You will need to know the definitions and place them into sentences for Wednesday!

READING: Continue your independent autobiography in-class assignment.

MATH: Buckle Down with sales tax and interest rates.

SOCIAL STUDIES: A new government for a new country. Q&A sheets every night!

SCIENCE: Continue the outer planets with homework every night!
