Week of March 23-27, 2009
Last week before Spring Break!
We will be using a block schedule for the afternoon which includes Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies. You will be working in the classroom on developing your own country. There will be 11 items you will be working at this time. We will be using the Writers to store the information. There will be research, drawing, writing, reading and creating involved in this project. Be ready to work hard!
MATH: Buckle Down books with homework on a nightly basis.
Science: Big test on Wednesday: No notes or books allowed. We will be reviewing on Monday and Tuesday.

LA: Gold out on Monday, due on Wednesday and test on Friday. We will be starting up on READ 180 this week as well.

SS: Chapter 8 this week. Expect homework on every night this week.

Week of March 9 - 13, 2009
LA: Gold out on Monday with your list. Packet due completed on Wednesday and test on Friday. Wednesday night homework includes alphabetizing and Thursday is putting your gold words into sentences. We will be finishing the THREE WISHES essays in class on the Writers.
READING: An independent book with in class reading will take place for the next three weeks. A book report on your book will be due on Thursday, March 26. You will NOT bring these books home.
SCIENCE: We will be working on supplemental work sheets regarding Astronomy for the next three weeks. What is not finished in class will be homework on a nightly basis.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Ch. 7 with homework every night and a quiz on Friday. Be prepared!
MATH: Buckle Down math books dealing with integers and variables. Expect supplemental work sheets every night.
*****If you have me for science, start thinking of an experiment you will perform in the classroom. You will write a scientific paper on this experiment as well. We will discuss the details at a later date!
